INSIDE MY MAKEUP DRAWER #12

Finally, we come to the last installment of Inside My Makeup Drawer with what I think is a worthy item to close things up:

IMMD-12aIMMD-12b

Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette

Although the Naked 3 palette was actually the first of these I bought, I’m quickly developing a fondness for the original set. I’ll probably do a more comprehensive write-up on this at some point in the future (since every beauty blogger ever has shared their thoughts on it), but suffice to say I can see why this because a classic and a huge hit. There’s a good choice of colour and the shadows themselves are really well made and very easily blendable.

Well, that’s the end of this current look inside my makeup drawer, but I’m sure I’ll revisit this notion again in the future once I get a few new things in there to talk about!

And now the sixty-four thousand dollar question: what’s in your makeup drawer? Drop me a line and let me know!

INSIDE MY MAKEUP DRAWER #11

My series on what’s Inside My Makeup Drawer is almost at an end, but there’s just time for a peek at two more things, and today we’re looking at number eleven:

IMMD-11a IMMD-11b

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

I cannot express how much I love this palette. It is possibly my favourite thing that lives inside my makeup drawer, and deserves a full product experience write-up at some point in the future. For now, I’ll just say that it’s amazing, that it’s propelled Urban Decay to the top of my list of preferred shadows, and that if you have green eyes you should totally buy this immediately.

Have you tried the Naked 3 palette? What are your favourite colours in it? Are you a glitter or matte shadow person? Drop me a line and let me know!

I’ve done a more comprehensive review of this palette here, if you’re interested.

Next on Inside My Makeup Drawer, part eight:

IMMD-08a

Blushers & Highlighters

1 x Autograph Pure Colour Powder
1 x Inglot AMC Face & Body Illuminator 61
1 x Inglot AMC White Highlighting Powder
1 x Estee Lauder Tender Blush Rose Nuance

Not pictured: Benefit Danlion, Nyx Winter In Moscow Pink Blush, Clinque Quick Blush Pronto Pink

I just love blushers; they’re one of the few items of makeup that I wear more or less daily. My collection of these is pretty small, but when it comes to blush, I’m less interested in having several options and more interested in finding the one that most closely matches my natural flush.

Are you a blusher fan? Have you found your perfect blush? Drop me a line and let me know!

INSIDE MY MAKEUP DRAWER #7

Number seven on the list of things Inside My Makeup Drawer:

IMMD-07a

Primers, Concealers, & Foundations

1 x Benefit Pore Professional
1 x Smashbox Photo Finish
1 x Inglot Cream Concealer 60
1 x Benefit Boi-Ing 01
1 x Rimmel Perfect Match Foundation 100
1 x La Prairie Brightening Eye Treatment 10
1 x Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream Fair
1 x Creme De La Mer Foundation Porcelain

Yep, you guessed it: I’m pale as a ghost and I don’t like wearing heavy foundation. It’s actually really difficult for me to find foundations that match my skin colour and I don’t much enjoy the feel of it on my skin so this side of my makeup collection is on the small side. I do love a good primer, though!

Are you a foundation fan, or do you prefer a nearly naked face? Are any of your favourites featured here? Drop me a line and let me know!

INSIDE MY MAKEUP DRAWER #5

Number five on my countdown of things  Inside My Makeup Drawer is:

IMMD-05a

Nyx Winter In Moscow Kit

2 x blusher
5 x lipgloss
14 x eyeshadows

I love this kit. Annoyingly, none of the shadows are are named, or the blushers, and oddly there are two huge grey-black shadows are three times larger than the rest. That said, the colours are great, the shadows blend really well, there’s an excellent selection of them, and I really love the lighter pinky blush.

Are you a Nyx fan? Are you a shadow palette collector? Drop me a line and let me know!

INSIDE MY MAKEUP DRAWER #4

Today’s contribution to Inside My Makeup Drawer is number four:

IMMD-04a

Benefit Feeling Dandy Kit

1 x High Beam
1 x Posie Tint
1 x Dandelion Blush
1 x Dandelion Gloss

I love this kit. I love miniatures kits in general, because they’re easier to toss into a travel makeup kit to take out with you when you go places. It also means you get to try out products in smaller sizes to discover which ones you’ll want to repurchase in full size. For me, this is going to be the blush (it’s just perfect for my skintone) and possibly the High Beam highlighter.

Do you like trial size sets and kits? Are you a Benefit fan? Drop me a line and let me know!

INSIDE MY MAKEUP DRAWER #3

Inside My Makeup Drawer continues today with part three:

IMMD-03a

Inglot Travel Brush Set

I’m going to be honest, here: I haven’t a bloody clue what half of these brushes are for. There’s obviously a big blusher brush and two eye brushes, but not sure what either end of the white one is for, nor the skinny end of the one on the second left. Eyeliner? Concealer? Lips? Those would be my guesses, but I can’t be sure. The little bamboo-handle brushes are eye brushes I bought from a set in Boots a while ago, and just stuffed two in here for extras since I had the space.

The photo was taken before my visit to Gran Canaria, so I hadn’t used any of the brushes then. After saving this for about a year and a half, I finally took it away with me on my trip and did use some of them and I can tell you they they’re pretty excellent and super easy to pack away to bring with you. I’m glad I had it to take with me, though I think I will still keep it for flight travel and just bring my regular brushes with me any time I am going away on a trip that only involves a car as I don’t want to “waste” them!

Do you save things up to use for certain occasions, or do you dive into everything you buy right away? Are you a fan of Inglot brushes? Drop me a line and let me know!
